Bale’s career at Real Madrid seems to have come to an end. The player spent most of the last season on the beach, and it’s not part of Zidane’s plans anymore.
When soccer activity was resumed after the suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bale played only a few minutes. He expressed his annoyance by requesting not to be considered in the list of the team that faced Manchester City in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
The relationship between the Welsh and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has long been broken. Last summer, Zidane declared: “if Bale leaves tomorrow, that would be best.” Since then, the situation between the two has been taut.
The French coach has plans to free himself from several players for the 2020-21 season, and Bale is among them.
A rumor of the 31-year-old forward’s possible departure from the Casa Blanca have reached North London, specifically White Hart Lane. The Spurs have always left a door open for Bale’s return, and they don’t want to miss this opportunity, as Bale came close to completing his transfer to a club in China last season.
Tottenham boss José Mourinho would be interested in having Bale’s services for next season and would be preparing to enter into negotiations with Real Madrid.
The forward would be willing to return with the Lilywhites, but first, he wants to explore all the options, since his family has adapted very well to life in Spain and he does not want to change his routine and lifestyle.
