Fulham knows that to stay in the top flight, it needs to strengthen its roster. That is why The Cottagers are working hard to find high-level players who will allow the club to fight in the Premier.
Fulham boss Scott Parker appears to be focused on beefing up the team’s defense, as negotiations with Chelsea for 19-year-old defender Ethan Ampadu are nearing completion. As reported by The Athletic, Ampadu would land in Craven Cottage on loan for one season and without a purchase option.
Ampadu spent the last season on loan at RB Leipzig, where he didn’t have much action, participating in only seven games throughout the season.
Frank Lampard wants the young Welsh to gain experience in the Premier and adapt to English football’s pace and demands. So, Fulham would be the ideal club for the young man to start making a name for himself in English football.
In addition to Ampadu, Fulham wants to regain the services of Arsenal player Calum Chambers. The central defender played on loan at Fulham during the 2018-2019 season, appearing in 33 games and even scoring a couple of goals.
As reported by The Sun, both clubs have already held the first approaches so that Chambers can return on loan to Craven Cottage.
Fulham has a great challenge for next season, the Top Flight teams are getting stronger and stronger, and according to a recent study published by Free Super Tips, the winning teams of the Championship playoff remain only two years in the top division. The study was carried out by analyzing statistics since 1987 when the playoffs began.
