Manchester United have had a terrible start to the season. The defeat on the opening matchday of the Premier League has left a tasteless sensation throughout the club.
In addition, the internal problems with Cristiano Ronaldo add more tension to a club that desperately needs order and focus to recover its best form.
According to various media reports, Ronaldo’s teammates are fed up with the player’s attitude and want him to leave now. CR7 considers that there was a “gentleman’s agreement” with the club leaders, who would allow him an easy exit if he did not play in the Champions League. His agent, Jorge Mendes, met with the executive president Richard Arnold to put a price on CR7 since he assured that he had an agreement with an institution whose name did not come out. However, the Glazers, owners of United, were adamant and wanted nothing to do with the sale of their star.
Among the avalanche of negative comments, a former Red Devils player has shown his support for the club and has even offered to play for free if the club requests it.
This is the Mexican Chicharito Hernández; currently, the player is in his third season in MLS, defending the colors of the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Herandez shared a curious message to support his old club. “If United came for me, I would say, ‘yes, I will play for free. But I also want to be very respectful towards my club. I am playing well and am convinced I want to win a championship with the LA Galaxy.”
The 34-year-old Hernandez has settled into MLS soccer; this season, he has made 25 appearances in all competitions and scored 10 goals. And during his time at Old Trafford, he played 157 games and scored 59 goals.
