Former England international, Liam Rosenior who made 79 appearances for Fulham FC between 2003–2007 stated that he is enjoying his new role at Derby County.
The English born footballer who played as a winger during his playing time is currently a specialist first-time coach at Derby County.
He became an integral member in the club’s coaching team when Derby County new head coach, Phillip Cocu turned to him as part of his backroom staff over the summer, and he now hopes to go fully into management after his remarkable experience.
Cocu made this known in a statement via the official club website as he noted that the future is bright for the Rams’ youngster.
Rosenior stated that he sees the process and the way of working as they have seen a lot of debuts from their young players coming through, players such as Jason Knight, Lee Buchanan, Morgan Whittaker, and Louie Sibley have already made their debut this season.
He noted that these players had all done really well since coming into the team at different moments in the two cup games and also in the league as seen in Jason’s and Lee’s case.
Rosenior who also played for the likes of Reading, Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion during his playing career also laid emphasis on the fact that the club has so many talented young players in the squad, some of whom they brought in or have come up through their Academy.
He, however, stressed that they need to guide them and give them the best opportunity not only to perform well but also win games of football because winning is what it is all about.
The club have also been going through some tough phase as they have not been able to win matches conveniently and convincingly, Rosenior noted how disappointed the club management, fans, and players have been not to have gathered more points at the earlier stage he, however, assured that the team as a unit would keep working hard to make sure that they pick up more points from their next games before the international break in October.
It is left to be seen how Fulham feels having one of their players coach their arch-rival in the Championship.
Fulham are favoured at 5.25 to win the Championship, while Derby County are available at 47.00 to win the title.
