Every week there are new rumors about Erling Haaland’s future. All the big European clubs follow the striker, and there is a fierce race to get the player’s services.
To date, it was known that the player was inclined to accept an offer from Spain, probably from Real Madrid.
But with proposals on the table from all corners of the continent, it seems that the player has change his mind.
Last week the 21-year-old traveled to Monaco to meet with his agent Mino Raiola.
The meeting would be to communicate the decision on which offer the player will accept and be able to start negotiations to finalize the move next summer.
According to several reports, Haaland would have opted for Barça’s offer, a decision that has caught Real Madrid by surprise, who thought they had made progress in the negotiations. The Norwegian striker understands that at Barça he will be the main star. At the same time, he doubts the role he would play at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he would coincide with Benzema, Vinícius, and most likely Mbappé.
Haaland believes that leading the new Barça project is an excellent opportunity to grow, as the foundations for building a new great team are perfect.
The big question that arises is how Barcelona can afford the signing of Haaland, whose price is above 100 million.
According to the Daily Mail, the sponsorship agreement that Barcelona is about to sign with Spotify would bring in some 340 million euros. Which in their great majority will be destined to arrange the signing of the Norwegian.
The bookmakers are not so convinced of this information since the leading candidates to take over the player’s services are Manchester City and Chelsea in the recently updated odds.
