Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has showered praise on Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. The youngster has been in prime form in the ongoing season for the Red Devils, scoring 17 goals across all competitions.
Rashford also scored a scintillating opening goal against table-toppers Arsenal on Sunday but his efforts went in vain. After the conclusion of the World Cup, Rashford has scored nine goals in as many matches.
“There’s not many players in the league in better form than Rashford. He looks full of confidence and boy did he take his goal well at the weekend. It’s great to watch him in this sort of form, he’s developing into the player we all thought he could be,” Redknapp said.
Rashford has been brimming with confidence under Erik Ten Hag as he has scored nine goals in the Premier League, four in EFL Cup, and three in the Europa League.
After the loss against the Gunners, the 25-year-old urged the fans and the players to remain positive for the upcoming matches.
“Never easy to lose a game like that at the last minute but we go again! We’re heading in the right direction and need to remain positive.”
On the other hand, Erik Ten Hag was not at all pleased with the performance of his team and felt they made mistakes in conceding the goals.
Manchester United will next take on Nottm Forest in the semifinal of the EFL Cup.
