Crystal Palace vs Norwich City Preview

    Football   |   September 28, 2019

The Eagles are set to host Daniel Farke’s lads at Selhurst Park on Saturday after a disappointing draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.

Crystal Palace and Norwich City are set to lock horns on Saturday. Both sides last met each other in April 2016 with Palace earning a 1-0 win over the Canaries with Jason Puncheon scoring the only goal for the Eagles.

The Eagles will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Roy Hodgson lads were set to earn their third league win of the season until Diogo Jota scored with almost the last kick of the game to draw ten-man Wolves level.

The Eagles were left to rue missed opportunities in front of the goal and ended up picking a point after conceding a last-minute equalizer. Skipper of the side Luka Milivojevic is hoping the Eagles continue their unbeaten home record when they host the Canaries “We know, and we are going to try and do our best and to use their weaknesses to try and punish them, and in the end, the most important thing is to win the game”.the skipper was quoted as saying.

Norwich City are still looking for a win away from home this season. The Canaries lost to Burnley last week Saturday at Turf moor with Chris Wood scoring two goals to inflict defeat on Daniel Farke’s lads.

The Canaries are facing injury crisis as Timm Klose, Christoph Zimmermann, Onel Hernandez, Tom Trybull and Max Aarons are all set to Miss this tie due to injury. Daniel Fake will be hoping goalkeeper Tim Krul and midfielder Alexander Banor Tettey recover from their respective injuries. Talismanic striker Teemu Pukki is expected to lead the line for the Canaries. The Striker has scored six goals and registered two assists in the premier league this season.

Crystal Palace have no injury worries, and gaffer Roy Hodgson is expected to select the same XI that drew with Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.

    TEAM FORM: last six matches

    Crystal Palace: LWLWLD

    Norwich City: WLLLWL

Crystal Palace: Guaita; Ward, Sakho, Cahill, Van Aanholt; Schlupp, Kouyate, Miliveojevic, McArthur, Zaha; Ayew

Norwich City: Krul; Byram, Amadou, Godfrey, Lewis; Tettey, McLean; Buendia, Stiepermann, Cantwell; Pukki

The Canaries injury crisis could be their bane as they play the Eagles and Roy Hodgson lads are yet to lose at home in the league this season. The Eagles should be able to Nick a home win in this tie.

Norwich City is priced at 3.89 to win the encounter while Crystal Palace is available at 1.96. A possible draw is set at 3.80.
