Juventus veteran defender, Giorgio Chiellini has admitted that he will try to sign Gigio Donnarumma after his retirement.
While noting that he is, for now, a footballer, he drew similarities between the now PSG goalie and Gigi Buffon.
Speaking in a long interview with DAZN, Chiellini said right now, it’s not up to me.
He further explained that in a few years, he will do something different that could make him try to sign the former AC Milan player.
Donnarumma was in talks with Juventus in the summer before eventually joining the Paris club. The move to the Turin club couldn’t materialise as the Old Lady eventually decided to keep hold of Wojciech Szczesny.
Even though the goalie recently joined the French club, Juventus remain interested in signing Donnarumma, especially considering that is not a regular starter at the Parc des Princes.
Wondering why the Turin club didn’t sign him, he said there is no clue why they didn’t sign him, now the transfer will cost a small fortune.
Meanwhile, Mattia De Sciglio has sustained a hamstring injury. He had undergone radiological examinations at J|Medical that revealed a low-grade lesion of the hamstring of the left thigh.
This means Juan Cuadradowho came in for him as a substitute during their 1-2 home loss to Sassuolo could get the starting shirt when the Bianconeri face Hellas Verona at the Bentegodi on Saturday.
Verona will be going to this clash with a high level of confidence after dismantling Lazio last week 4-1.
This could have been the best time to play a Juventus side that has not been winning games.
But the good news in the Turin camp is that some players including Adrien Rabiot and Alvaro Morata will be back in action, which means Max Allegri is likely have a full-strength squad soon.
