18-year-old Italian midfielder Cher Ndour has completed a move to Paris Sante-Germain.
Ndour, whose height is 190cm, has been compared to Frenchman Paul Pogba.
This comparison, he said in an interview with a Gazzetta dello Sport, is a source of pride and motivation for him to be a better player.
The promising prospect already dreams of playing for Italy at the next world cup.
Ndour has an imposing presence in the middle of the park, and his incisive passing game will be a massive asset to the French giant.
“The way I do things, it’s true that we play in the same way,” he added.
This is also good business for PSG to sign him as a free agent after his contract with Benfica ends.
The promising midfielder, born in Brescia in 2004, has committed his future to the club in a five-year deal and will wear the number 27, as said by PSG in an official statement.
Excited about the move, Ndour, in his first interview with PSG, said the transfer is a mix of emotions, but it’s happiness above all because he will now ply his trade with one of the best clubs in the world with so many winners.
“And for me, it’s an honor to be a part of this new family.”
The Atalanta academy product will now link up with his compatriots Marco Verratti and Gigio Donnarumma.
Meanwhile, PSG boss Luis Enrique seems to have doubts regarding the Donarumma.
According to L’Equipe, the new coach prefers a goalkeeper with good ball distribution, and the impact of Gigio in training hasn’t been great.
Although PSG has not put Donnarumma on the market, Luis Enrique is assessing the future of the 24-year-old in Paris.
Donarumma is in his third season with the Paris club after joining them on a free transfer from Milan in 2021.
His current deal runs out in June 2026.
