It will be a London Derby in the FA Cup final to be played at the Wembley Stadium after Chelsea FC trashed Manchester United by three goals to one in the second semi-final played at Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening.
In a game that had Ole Gunnar Solskajer rotate his team to A 3-5-2 formation, Chelsea was dominant and rampant in the game-winning the first half from a late goal from striker Olivier Giroud who slipped the ball under the feet of goalkeeper David de Gea at the near post.
The Spanish goalkeeper was also at fault for 2 Chelsea’s 3 goals on the night. Mason Mount added another for Chelsea early on in the second half, and Harry Maguire scored an own goal to make it 3-0 to Chelsea in the 74th minute.
Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty 5 minutes from before the end of the game to give Manchester United a consolation goal.
Chelsea will now face Arsenal, who beat Manchester City 2-0 on Saturday at the Wembley Stadium in the final that will be played on the 1st of August 2020.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice as Mikel Arteta’s men outclassed Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Meanwhile, in the English Premier League, Watford sacked their manager Nigel Pearson with just two matches to be played in the season.
He is the third manager to be sacked this season after Javi Gracia, and Quique Sanchez Flores were both shown the exit earlier this season.
The Hornets’ Under-23 coach Hayden Mullins Wil be in charge of the remaining two matches in the season with Graham Stack as his assistant.
In the matches played in the English Premier League, Tottenham beat Leicester City 3-0 with James Justin scoring an own goal within the first ten minutes while Harry Kane scored twice in the first half.
Southampton beat Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium 2-0, Dany Ings, despite losing a penalty scored one, and Charlie Adams managed to add the second goal in the stoppage time of the game to leave Bournemouth on the brink of relegation.
