Jadon Sancho has long been in Manchester United’s plans. But it seems that Chelsea is the one who will get the player.
According to reports, The Blues are set to throw a bid of about $ 100 million for the forward.
The red devils tried by all means to sign the player in the summer of 2020. But in the end, the price tag of more than $ 150 million that Borussia Dortmund imposed caused the club to withdraw from the race.
This season Chelsea is confident that the player’s price will be lower because his contract with Dortmund ends in 2023, so the club would be more willing to sell the young Englishman.
Also, Sancho has not had a brilliant season; an injury took him off the pitch for seven weeks. Despite this, the player has scored 14 goals in 19 games.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has declared to be a fan of the player, and he would plan to sign him before the start of Euro 2020.
Tuchel hopes that they will convince Sancho to come to Stamford Bridge because the player has claimed to be a fan of the club since he was a child.
In a 2019 interview with the Independent, Sancho said: “Ronaldinho was the main guy I used to watch on YouTube. But I liked Frank Lampard quite a lot and Didier Drogba when they were playing for Chelsea. They were the three players I looked up to. ”
During international duty with England, Sancho was asked about his future, and his reply was: “Will I leave the club? I don’t know about my future,” Sancho said.
“I am very happy here in Dortmund at the moment. I love the club, the fans and the team. They gave me my first professional start. ”
