Chelsea moved into the next round of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday after beating French side Stade Rennes 2-1.
Having won the first leg 3-0 weeks back, Chelsea started the game on the front foot with Callum Hudson Odoi scoring the opener in the 22nd minute of the first half.
They took the lead into the break before Stade Rennes equalized in the second half through Serhou Guirassy in the 85th minute.
French striker Olivier Giroud scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the 90th minute with a header as the Blues continued their impressive form with their sixth win in six games.
Rennes, on the other hand, have not won in their last four games and have only one point after three matches in the group stage and sit bottom of Group E.
Chelsea sits on top with 10 points from 4 matches and has qualified alongside Sevilla, who also have 10 points from 4 games and are only second on goal difference.
Sevilla got the better of Russian side Krasnodar with a 2-1 win in Russia.
Meanwhile, Manchester United got a 4-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir at the Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes scored a first-half brace before Marcus Rashford scored a first-half penalty.
Daniel James scored in the final minute of the game after Deniz Turuk’s second half consolation.
Barcelona and Juventus won 4-0 against Dynamo Kyiv and 2-1 win over Ferencvaros respectively to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
Dortmund beat Club Brugge 3-0 while Paris Saint Germain beat RB Leipzig 1-0, Lazio were 2-1 winners over Zenit.
On Wednesday, Liverpool will host Atalanta at the Anfield Stadium, while Manchester City will travel to Greece to play Olympiakos.
Bayern Munich will host RB Salzburg, Atletico Madrid will play against Lokomotiv Moscow, Inter Will host Real Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach will welcome Shakthar Donestk.
