Moise Kean hopes to fire Everton into the Champions League after joining from Italian giants Juventus.
Kean swapped Turin for Merseyside this summer in a reported £29million deal and the 19-year-old feels the top four is a realistic target for Everton in the not-too-distant future.
“It is part of the ambition of any player to help bring his team to the Champions League,” he said, as reported by The Guardian. “What I want is to bring Everton into the Champions League.”
Everton came eighth in the Premier League last season and are 5.00 to claim a top-six finish this year or 17.00 to finish in the top four. Kean is one of six new arrivals at Goodison Park so far, with Everton also signing Andre Gomes on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell last term as well as goalkeeper Jonas Lossl from Huddersfield and midfielder Fabian Delph from Manchester City.
Manager Marco Silva is understood to be keen to strengthen further before the transfer window shuts on Thursday and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha remains a target despite the capture of Kean.
Everton begin the new season at Crystal Palace on Saturday and they are 2.40 to secure all three points, while Kean is 6.00 to score the first goal or 2.80 to score at anytime. Palace are 3.10 to win and a draw is 3.25.
