It’s yet another match day weekend in the Scottish Football Premier League as champions Celtic host Aberdeen in the matchday 19 clash as they look to build on two-point gap lead at the top of the table.
This follows after keeping hold of it with a win over Hibernian just a few days ago, with Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard scoring after a 2-0 loss in the Europa League against Cluj having secured qualification.
The Hoops have secured 13 wins in 14 outings across all competitions, and they look to build on their brilliant performances when they host Aberdeen this weekend. Celtic have conceded just two goals so far in their six outings at Celtic park which will make it difficult for the visitors as they[Aberdeen] have had troubles being compact at the back away from home.
Aberdeen comes into this fixture on the back of a 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical where Sam Cosgrove’s goal was the difference early in the second half. They have suffered from defensive issues, and this was their first clean sheet since early November.
They currently occupy the 3rd place in the league standings and trail 11 points with the pacesetters Celtic- who have two games at hand. They will have to reduce the gap as defeating the hoops will the toughest challenge yet.
However, Celtic will prove too much to handle for their visitors as they will look to extend the lead on the log.
