Celtic resumed their preparations for the League season back at the base in Lennoxtown on Monday in what was cold weather across the Scottish countryside.
Portugal was the perfect place chosen by the Celts for their warm weather training camp last week as Postecoglou brought back home his side to their familiar ground.
The Hoops are putting their plans in top gear as they aim to resume proceedings in the SPFL when they take on Aberdeen this Saturday, 17th December.
The training also witnessed the returns of regular faces of those that participated for their respective countries at the ongoing 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, with the likes of Cameron Carter Vickers and Aaron Mooy representing the USA and Australia. Others like Jota, Kyogo Furuashi, and Callum McGregor were also pictured with the rest of the squad during media on Monday.
Joining the regulars were new faces with Celtic winter additions Yuki Kobayashi and Alistair Johnston.
The former has been spending the previous associating himself with his new teammates while Johnston was training for the very first time with the Celts after playing for Canada at the World Cup.
The new duo will be looking to make their debut by early January as they hope to impress the fans and their manager.
Manager Ange Postecoglou will also aim to drill his side despite the serious cold weather to keep in check the players’ fitness and assess any form of injuries during the second part of the season.
Speaking with the club media in an exclusive interview, the manager revealed his side is in top gear and ready for the second phase of the season.
“We’ve been training in recent weeks, and now that we’re back home, we will continue with this process and look to build on that ahead of the weekend,” he said.
