It will difficult to determine the situation the transfer market will be this summer due to the pandemic outbreak, and it’s uncertain when leagues across Europe will begin as all leagues are currently being suspended indefinitely.
In addition to this, financial uncertainty makes one imagine if some clubs will want to ship off some of their hottest talents to help eradicate any fears.
At a point in time, every forward will definitely leave a club, and there are signs that Odsonne Edouard will, at a point, leave the Hoops with offers coming from various clubs in Europe after the 22-year old. The Frenchman looks destined for greater heights, and if he’s finally sold, he will command a large transfer fee.
However, he is yet to mature fully and probably still has a lot to learn, and making that move might be too early for him. He remains the number one striker at Celtic and will get involved in a lot of games come next season, so staying for an extra year will make a lot of sense.
But nevertheless, there are thoughts that Celtic might need to find a successor soon. The Sottish champions have always been lucky with forwards with the previous player like Moussa Dembele, who is now at Lyon in France and Edouard (currently).
The next forward coming in might need time to blend in, so a short term replacement might be needed if Edouard finally goes through the exit door.
There have been reports from the UK that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is seeking a move away from Italian side AC Milan after some behind the scenes clash with the club hierarchies. Getting Ibra might be a smart and a remarkable move
Considering his age, he might not have the strength over to play that much, but if Celtic imagines pulling such move, it could be great for the fans and motivation for the player as well with Zlatan leading the line in the green and white colors.
