La Liga starts this weekend, but Cadiz CF has not yet completed its roster for the new season.
The club’s hierarchy hopes to finalize a couple more signings to reinforce the team and achieve this season’s objectives.
The club is very interested in reinforcing its attack and has targeted Florin Andone.
The 28-year-old striker is not going through his best moment at Brighton. In fact, he missed the entire 2020/21 season due to injury.
But boss Cervera is confident that the player still has potential and would fit very well in Cadiz’s scheme.
Andone has experience in LaLiga as he played for teams like Cordoba CF and Deportivo de la Coruna. In fact, it is in Spain where the Romanian player has achieved his best performance, accumulating 86 games and 23 goals.
The club has its foot on the accelerator in order to be able to finalize the signing of Andone and other players. This is because the club recently lost one of its main targets.
Martin Merquelanz was of great interest to reinforce the left-wing. But recently, Real Sociedad announced that the player had been loaned to Rayo Vallecano.
Merquelanz was one of the club’s main targets for this season. The club’s president, Manuel Vizcaino himself, had said how much he liked the player. “He is a player that the sporting management likes, and he is owned by Real Sociedad. Last year he played at a high level in Primera, and it is Real who are in charge. If there was any possibility of loaning him, we would certainly be there because the reports are very good,” Vizcaino had commented weeks ago.
