Inter Milan midfielder, Marcelo Brozovic seems to have shown loyalty towards the Nerazzurri, ruling out a move away from the squad.
Brozovic has been linked with a host of clubs, with Barcelona topping the list.
However, the latest comment from his representative suggests that the Croatian international is not moving to Barcelona because he loves the Nerazzurri.
This is in contrast to the rumours that both clubs over the last few days have been discussing a swap deal with Franck Kessie, while Memphis Depay was also mentioned as a candidate to make the switch.
After Inter had come out to quickly deny the claims, Brozovic’s family also rushed to rule out a Camp Nou transfer.
This is expected to help the Croatia international, who is currently in Riyadh with his squad preparing for the Supercoppa Italiana clash with Milan concentrate. Although he might get some minutes, he is still struggling with an injury. He is very unlikely to feature, though.
After Brozovic helped Croatia to reach the World Cup semi-final in Qatar, before eating Morocco to take the bronze medal, his value rose.
This has made things look like if Inter was made a good offer, they could afford to lose Brozovic after discovering Hakan Calhanoglu in the playmaker role.
Still Inter, there were talks of a possible swap between Barcelona and Inter Milan involving Memphis Depay and Joaquin Correa began, but it seems it won’t work.
Apart from the fact that it was not seen in a good light by the Blaugrana faithful, Barca manager Xavi was said to be unhappy with the transaction and did not give his green light for the trade.
But reports have it that Barcelona still sees Correa as a solid option and are concretely interested in his signing.
However, the deal might not be successful seems difficult given Memphis Depay’s decision to play for Atletico Madrid.
Since the Dutch International does not favour a move to Inter, at the moment, talks between Correa and Barcelona are off.
