After signing Alvaro Morata, AC Milan seems ready to add another striker to their ranks in Chelsea forward Armando Broja.
Milan reignited their interest in the 22-year-old and contacted Chelsea as discussions are geared towards the margins of a possible deal.
According to reports, the Rossoneri set their sights on the Albanian striker at the start of June and flew out to London for talks with the Blues.
Having moved away to focus on other targets, the player looked to be on the cusp of joining Everton.
But after signing Morata this summer from Atletico Madrid, Milan has continued searching for reinforcements.
They are also heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Niclas Fullkrug. According to a report released by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan has reopened talks with Chelsea to understand if there’s an opportunity to make a move for Broja now that a move to Everton has failed to materialize.
Although the Rossoneri haven’t abandoned the idea of signing either Fullkrug or Roma’s Tammy Abraham, they have now also started reconsidering the idea of a loan move for Broja.
Meanwhile, Milan also intends to make some reinforcements in the midfield, as they are in the early stages of setting up a deal for Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic.
The Rossoneri are in close contact with Udinese for the midfielder; they have been on the hunt for midfield reinforcements for Paulo Fonseca’s new project. The resumed chase after hitting a serious roadblock in their chase of Youssouf Fofana after Monaco decided to raise the price amidst interest from Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.
Samardzic has been at the center of chaos in the transfer market since last season. He was close to moving to Inter, Napoli, and Juventus over the last year.
He has two years left on his contract at Udinese, making a departure this summer increasingly likely. Longo also revealed that Milan had opened talk.
Longo also revealed that Milan has opened talks with Udinese to start seriously negotiating a deal for Samardzic.
Milan is reportedly negotiating the €25 million price tag on the midfield ace, who has started pushing for a move to the Rossoneri, not wanting to miss out on the opportunity once again.
He had declined offers from Lazio and Fenerbahce, aiming to compete in the Champions League.
Milan seems to have made progress as they have already contacted Samardzic’s father and agents. Salary and commissions seem to have been sorted.
However, Milan will need to sell either Yacine Adli or Ismael Bennacer before completing a deal for the 22-year-old.
