Moisés Caicedo has been making waves in the international soccer world. After his performance at the World Cup in Qatar, where he was part of the Ecuadorian side, and a solid season with Brighton in England’s Premier League, Caicedo has caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs. His electric pace, pinpoint passes, and defensive steel have been on full display for anyone who is watching.
But Brighton don’t want to let their young star go easily, still ensuring his continuity until 2027. However, this may not be enough to convince the player to stay at the club.
Next summer Caicedo could set course for one of the great clubs in the Premier, since the player’s ambition is to reach the top and participate in European competitions.
In the winter transfer market, the player was about to leave the club, but the board was not willing to accept less than 80 million, something that made the interested clubs back down.
“This is magnificent news for the club, for the fans, for me and for Moisés. He makes us stronger and helps us to continue fighting for our objectives, ”said Roberto De Zerbi after hearing the news.
The Ecuadorian has emerged as one of the best young midfielders in the world this season, he is already a veteran, being the undisputed starter with the seagulls.
On November 29, 2022, he became the youngest Ecuadorian soccer player to score a goal in the Soccer World Cup at 21 years and 27 days, he was also the first Brighton & Hove Albion soccer player to score a goal in World Cups.
