The Foxes have become one of the strongest teams in the Premier League in recent years. In the last two seasons, the club has kept competing for the top positions in the table and has been able to stand up to the Big 6.
But in recent weeks, things haven’t been going so well at King Power Stadium, as they have only managed to win one of their last five games.
They were also left out of the FA Cup at the hands of Nottingham Forest 4-1, a humiliating defeat for the current champion of the tournament.
Injuries have affected the depth of the squad, and the pressure is starting to build for Manager Brendan Rodgers who has to find a way to get the club back into good form.
Some rumors suggest that the club’s board is already beginning to analyze names to replace Rodgers if the club does not achieve the objectives set for the season.
When asked about these rumors and if the board still supports him, Rodgers said: “I’ve never felt I haven’t, but I also understand football.
“I’ve got a great relationship here with the people at the club, a very close working relationship with everyone, but I understand you have to get results.
“Whatever happens to me in the future, those relationships don’t change, they’re great people here, have always supported me.
“This year has been a challenge after challenge and primarily because of the players we have missing, but of course the weekend’s result wasn’t great, so you can’t mask over that and I would never try to.”
But despite the poor results of The Foxes, Rodgers remains one of the most sought-after coaches in the Premier.
It is said that Manchester City would be interested in taking over his services in the event that Pep Guardiola decides to leave the club to try his luck outside of England.
