Bournemouth have been handed a tough draw in the fifth draw of the FA Cup after they were drawn against Championship leaders Leicester City in the draws. The Foxes have a 12-point lead at the summit of the English second tier ahead of Southampton in the second.
The Foxes defeated Birmingham 3-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup to book their place in the next round. Bournemouth, on the other hand, moved to the next round with a 5-0 victory over Swansea at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries will face Fulham and Newcastle United and host Manchester City in the Premier League before playing Leicester City on February 27 at Vitality Stadium.
Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola’s side unveiled Enes Unal, a deadline-day signing on loan from Getafe in La Liga, who was prevented from joining up with his teammate before this week due to work permit issues.
The 26-year-old Turkish forward joined from Spanish La Liga side Getafe on loan, and he has said he’s eager to repay the faith shown in him.
“Everything happened really fast, but I’m grateful for the trust that the club put in me, the gaffer put in me. I will try to repay this confidence and do my best. I feel really good, perfect first day. The team received me really, really good. Looks like a great group of people and really happy to be here. It was really nice. Before I came here, I’ve been talking with some people and they all say it’s a family club. The lads are really nice, and I can say that today. I’ve been talking with Diego (Rico) and he said all the best things about the club, about the city, about the teammates. So that helped.” Unal said.
