According to reports, Borussia Dortmund is ready to offload right-back Felix Passlack this summer. However, the sale could only be sanctioned if interested parties offered the right amount.
It’s evident the Black, and Yellow side have been going with their business this transfer window as there has been a massive overhaul with the departures and arrivals of players at the club.
Dortmund boast of different players at the right-back position, with the likes of Thomas Meunier, Mateu Morey, Lion Semic, Felix Passlack, and Marius Wolf maintaining the ability to execute their duties perfectly at that role.
With this set of options at the right full-back, the Dortmund hierarchy will be keen to let go of at least a player; so far, a suitable offer is on the cards.
The decision has now been made to let go of Passlack, and the former Germany youth international contract will also play a key role in this transfer as his current deal is set to end by the end of the coming season. So it is highly unlikely for any renewals to be made.
The 24-year-old former Germany youth international has performed excellently well when called upon, which has seen him race up 15 appearances last campaign.
It seems fair enough for Dortmund to sell Passlack, especially with the emergence of Lion Semic and Mateu Morey adding more cover at the right side of the defense.
The former performances in training have impressed new boss Edin Terzic, and with the look of things, the 18-year-old who has also just committed his long-term future to the club is likely to get more game time than Passalack, who will be further pushed down the pecking order.
For now, Thomas Meunier remains Dortmund’s first choice, with the Belgium man impressing last season and Morey just returning from a long-term injury layoff.
Dortmund continues their preseason preparti0ns ahead of the new season and will be looking to start on a good note in the coming Bundesliga season.
