Bayern Munich are set to continue their pursuit of Liverpool star Sadio Mane. According to reports, the Bavarians are set to revert to the Premer League side and submit a much-improved offer for the Senegalese International that has a high chance of being accepted by Liverpool.
Bayern had earlier seen previous bids rejected by Liverpool after an initial offer of around 25m euros with 4.6m in bonuses.
Mane himself has his heart set on a move to the Allianz Arena already this coming season after a six-year stint with the Kop.
Further reports confirmed the German Champions have agreed on personal terms with the winger. Hence, his impending exit from Anfield this summer.
However, Liverpool are determined to hold on to their star man beyond this season as they look to offer him a new deal.
The chances of this happening look slim, though, as the 30-year-old sees his future elsewhere.
This decision by Mane has given Bayern Chiefs the necessary determination to strike a deal at all costs for the player as they seek to go with a new fee rumored to be in the region of 35m euros which includes a 5m extra payment bonus.
Liverpool could accept this new, improved terms, and it seems reasonable for a 30-year-old.
With this latest development, Bayern will hope they can reach an agreement soonest, which will see Mane complete a transfer to the German Champions.
It’s quite reasonable for this second pursuit of the Senegalese forward as Bayern sees him as a replacement for the departing Robert Lewandowski.
The Polish international has expressed his desire to leave, but currently, the transfer still seems to be in a deadlock as Barcelona, which the Pole prefers as his desired destination, hasn’t come to terms with Bayern yet.
However, things will become clearer in the coming weeks before the preseason kicks off.
