La Liga side Barcelona are pushing their interest in signing Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski with a new bid which they expect the Germans to accept.
The Polish striker is in his final year on his contract with the Bundesliga giants and has made it clear that he wants to leave the club.
Barcelona has also made him a huge transfer target for the summer, with Bayern Munich rejecting two bids from Barcelona for the striker. Now the Catalonians have made a bid worth €50M for the 34-year-old.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich has set the price at €60M for any side interested in him as Chelsea is also part of the line of teams admiring the former Borussia Dortmund striker.
He scored 35 goals in 34 games in the Bundesliga and did not have any injury worries.
The Camp Nou side has a very busy summer transfer window ahead of them, with midfielder Frankie de Jong linked with a move to Manchester United.
Barcelona has thus lined up Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva and Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler as his potential replacement.
Should they get a deal through for Lewandowski, their attention will shift to Sevilla, the center-back Jules Kounde.
Despite Barcelona’s financial troubles, they are expected to make financial income from club licenses, merchandise, TV, and club image, while Manchester United’s pursuit of Frankie De Jong is expected to be nothing less than 70 million pounds in transfer fee.
Barcelona had a massive turnaround in India 2021 2022 season finishing second on the table after a topsy turvy start.
Key to their turnaround is manager Xavi as well as their January transfer inflows which include Pierre Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal, Adama Traore from Wolves, and Ferran Torres from Manchester City.
Barcelona also qualified for the UEFA Champions League next season after a group stage exit last season.
