Arsenal were the biggest spending club in the summer transfer market at £ 150million.
Thanks to this large investment, the club added six players, including Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyaus, and Aaron Ramsdale, who have become regulars of the first team.
The new players who arrived at the Emirates seem to have made the team more competitive, as performance has improved.
However, it seems that Mikel Arteta has not finished assembly his squad, and the club will go shopping when the winter transfer market opens on January 1.
The Gunners’ main target seems to be Marco Asensio. According to reports from Spain, both Liverpool and Arsenal have entered into talks with Real Madrid to sign the midfielder.
Asensio seems not to be part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans since the player has only had three starts this season, so there is a great possibility that he wants to move to a club where he has more opportunities.
Despite the Gunners’ interest in Asensio, the club is unlikely to be attractive to the player as he would have to compete for a first-team spot against Odegaard, Smith Rowe, and Saka, who have become the mainstays of midfield.
On the other hand, in Liverpool, the player could find more possibilities because Jurgen Klopp has lost four key players due to injuries, and they face a challenging crisis to replace them.
Another player Arsenal follows closely is Dusan Vlahovic. The Fiorentina player is the first option on Arteta’s list to replace Alexandre Lacazette. However, Juventus also want Vlahovic, so things will not be easy for Arsenal.
