Tottenham manager Antonio Conte wants to strengthen Spurs’ squad for the following season.
Conte has a one-year contract with Tottenham and despite the fact that rumors have linked him to a possible departure from the club, Daniel Levy, Chairman of the club, said that it is fake news.
Levy has said that he is prepared to give Conte everything he needs next season to win silverware.
According to Football Insider, Conte already has in mind the players he wants for the next transfer window.
Stefan De Vrij is Conte’s main target, the player was instrumental in Inter winning Serie A.
De Vrij’s contract expires in 2023 and there is speculation that the club are interested in selling the 30-year-old for around $17m.
Also on the list are Jose Maria Gimenez from Atletico Madrid and Denzel Dumfires from Inter.
Brighton’s Marc Cucurella is also reportedly on Conte’s radar.
Conte and his team are also working on making the signing of Dejan Kulusevski permanent to accompany Harry Kane and Heung-min Son in the club’s attack. This transaction would cost the club $47 million.
Another player who could strengthen the club’s forward line is Napoli’s Victor Osihem. According to Calciomercato, the Spurs will try to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus.
According to The Telegraph, Conte longs for a total of eight additions to his team in London. But it is also rumored that he does not have a good relationship with the club’s board and that there are disagreements about what the club’s action plan should be for next season.
