Choco Lozano is one of Cadiz’s most important players. Although his goal production was low with only 3 goals last season, the striker is very versatile and skillful with the ball.
Recently English journalist Frank Burrow tweeted about Nottingham Forest’s interest in Lozano. According to Burrow, Nottingham has already sent an offer to Cadiz for the player. And the two clubs are reportedly in talks to negotiate a possible transfer of the player.
This is not the first time that Nottingham had tried to sign Lozano, as they made a bid when the player was with Girona.
Currently, the English club has not finalized any signing, and they are in the market looking for a striker. One of their main targets was Sunderland’s Charlie Wyke, but the striker accepted Wigan’s offer to play in League One.
Another of Forest boss Chris Hughton’s targets was Brighton striker Ryan Longman, but he ended up joining Hull City on a season-long loan.
Despite rumors of Forest’s interest in Lozano, Spanish newspaper El Desmarque journalist Francisco Jimenez has said that it is untrue that an English club has made an offer or is in talks with Cadiz for a possible transfer.
At the moment, Cadiz has not officially referred to the issue. Although it is known that last season the club had received a couple of offers from England for Choco, which they rejected.
Currently, Lozano is with the Honduran team preparing for the Gold Cup and has also not referred to a possible transfer.
