Former PSG striker Nicolas Anelka has pointed out that coach Mauricio Pochettino has not been allowed to make some big calls he would have made at Tottenham Hotspurs.
The comment of the former Chelsea striker is coming on the back of their recent exit in the Coupe de France against Nice.
This has brought the Argentine under huge criticism and pressure.
Speaking with RMC sports, Anelka, who is less concerned about the criticisms, noted that it is difficult to impose his paw and make strong decisions with so many stars at his disposal.
He further noted that if PSG had wanted to sack him, it would have been in December.
While noting that the former Spurs coach did not bring what he was supposed to bring, he said it’s a very difficult situation for the gaffer.
Anelka further said the magnitude of the team makes it very complicated to come up with a game project.
The former Bolton player further noted that he used to do certain things at Tottenham, which he can’t do at PSG.
While noting that the coach knows that he is going to take his salary every month, he said he will play as many matches and months as possible but maybe be fired very soon.
Anelka, who noted that top coaches bench their stars he wants to develop his game, urged Pochentinno to make strong choices.
He also noted that even if the coach does it, management will stop him.
Next on PSG’s calendar away Ligue 1 clash against defending Champions, LOSC Lille, on February 6.
The central referee for the week 23 clash which will kick-off at 8:45 p.m. at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Villeneuve-d’Ascq is François Letexier.
He will be assisted by Cyril Mugnier and Mehdi Rahmouni. Bartolomeu Varela is the fourth referee, while Alexandre Castro and Hakim Ben El Hadj will perform the role of video assistant referees.
They will then welcome Stade Rennes five days later.
