Aaron Ramsey is out of Juventus; the Italian club decided to prescind the Welsh player’s 400,000-a-week contract.
Ramsey arrived in Turin in 2019 after leaving Arsenal. The player had a low-profile stint at Juve; the club even loaned him out to Scottish Rangers for a while due to his poor performance.
In fact, with Rangers, the player was the protagonist but not for good reasons, since he missed the decisive penalty in the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt, causing his team to be eliminated.
Due to the fact that the player has not performed according to the expectations of the club, the Italian giants have decided to dispense with his services and have paid 2.5 million euros in compensation to set the player free.
Ramsey finds himself without a team, and with Wales participating in the World Cup, he needs to link up quickly with a new club if he wants to be called up to his country’s team.
Apparently, Ramsey has offers from England on the table, specifically from Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
However, according to former Arsenal legend Ray Parlor, Ramsey’s future could lie in MLS. In an interview with talkSPORT, Parlor said, “He will be disappointed – three seasons, 49 appearances. “He was frozen out, but let’s hope he can get into the Premier League. Forest are the favorites.
“I would always look at America. If you think you’re coming to the end of your career, it’s a slower pace.
“It’s a nice place to live, and he’s got three young children.”
Juventus would look for Ramsey’s departure to alleviate the club’s salary burden to arrange the signing of Leandro Paredes from Paris Saint-Germain.
