Tommy Fury, the half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has been added to the undercard list of the WBC heavyweight championship fixture between Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte, which holds later this month. Whyte would be challenging For the WBC heavyweight title.
Just like his brother, Tommy is unbeaten from 7 fights, and he would be facing Polish boxer Daniel Bocianski, who has 1 loss from 10 fights in a cruiserweight match. Tyson’s promoter, Frank Warren, commented that more opportunities would follow Tommy if he maintains a winning streak. He said, “I am delighted that Tommy Fury will get to share some of the spotlight with his big brother after missing out on his big fight last year through illness.”
But Tommy is not the only one on the card. Isaac Lowe would go up against unbeaten fighter Nick Ball for the vacant WBC Silver featherweight title. The two ware expected to go 12 rounds, but anything could happen. Given Ball’s previous records of 7 KOs, he might just stop the fight before it ends.
David Adeleye is also on the card, and he would be up against Chris Healey. Adeleye has a record of 8 wins from 8 fights and 7 KOs, and adding more wins to his record could put him within range of contesting for a title.
Anthony Cacace vs. Jonathan Romero is also another match that would hold that night. The two would fight for who would take the vacant WBO International title. Cacace is the current British junior lightweight champion who made a successful title defense last year. Romero is a former IBF junior featherweight world champion.
Although these many fights are worth seeing, the main attraction remains the WBC heavyweight championship bout between Fury and Whyte.
