The fight between Tommy Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, and famous YouTuber Jake Paul has been slated to hold on August 6 at the Madison Square Garden. The two have been going at each other online for a while now, and soon, we would get to see them get physical for once. The fight was initially scheduled to hold back in December but has to be canceled after Fury reported that he had a chest infection.
With no losses so far from eight fights, Fury has maintained a very clean record since he turned pro back in 2018. Although he has yet to challenge for any belt, Fury has proven that he has what it takes to become a formidable boxer, and, maybe one day, he can become just like his older half-brother, who has zero losses, so far from over 30 fights.
Fury does not regard his opponent as a real boxer, saying that the only reason why he wants the fight is because of the money, which is about $2 million, adding that drafting Paul would not add anything to his career. Those are very strong-worded, seeing that Paul has also maintained a winning streak since the start of his career. He has four knockouts from a total of five fights. The biggest opponent he has faced so far was former MMA fighter Tyron Woodley, and he defeated him twice.
His origins has a YouTuber has always made him seem like someone just in the sport for the fame and clout, but Paul has managed to put in some work in recent times, and the fight against Fury is worth looking forward to, if not for any reason, but the fact that one of the men would add a loss to their career record for the first time.
