Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all-time in the NBA. The Chef has revolutionized the game of basketball and nothing has been the same ever since. Curry recently became the leading 3-pointer shooter in NBA history.
Curry’s biggest strength has always been his jump shot and that has made him the greatest of all time in the NBA. His jump shot is very beautiful and the way he releases quickly makes him difficult to guard against. The arc that happens also makes it very hard to contest by other players. He often bosses taller and quicker defenders. Apart from his unreal technique in the jump shot, he has an exceptional range. When he is in action he becomes a threat as soon as he crosses the midcourt.
But one person who feels that Curry’s jump shot might not be the best in the NBA, the person is none other than United States’ former President Barack Obama. Obama a few years ago had stated that he feels Curry’s teammate Klay Thompson has a prettier jump shot than him. He said this during the Warriors White House visit back in 2016 after the Warriors won the title in 2015.
Stephen Curry who appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with his wife, Ayesha Curry revealed the incident involving former President Barrack Obama. Fallon credited him as the greatest shooter of all time but also added how former president Barrack Obama did not consider him as the greatest. Curry had a laugh and then revealed the story on how Obama took a different spin to the entire story.
Curry replied, ”He did. He took a different spin on it. Obviously, I have an amazing shooter and teammate in Klay Thompson and we won the championship back in 2015. We went to the White House to meet him.”
“He says, Steph I know you can shoot but I think Klay Thompson has a much prettier form than you do… If I was teaching somebody how to shoot, Klay has textbook form… I always think I’m the better shooter,” Curry added.
Klay Thompson along with Curry is also one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. Both of them have been an integral part of the Golden State Warriors dynasty as they are fondly called the ‘Splash Brothers’. The dup are once again lining up to contest for another NBA Championship title.
