Golden State Warriors are a real force this season in the NBA. This season is not just about Steph Curry or Klay Thompson, the likes of Draymond Green and youngster Jordan Poole have also been in great form off late and have impacted the recent results against the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs.
Green who is one of the most valued assets for the Dubs has been a legend for the franchise. Although he sometimes gets undermined but true followers will always know the contributions made by the power forward. He is undoubtedly one of the best defensive players in the lead which allows the likes of Thompson, Curry and Poole to take the attack to the opposition.
Apart from his defence, he is a great ball-handler and a very versatile player. He can spring up and hit three points and can also find the right passes during transitions. He is genuinely a huge asset for Steve Kerr’s men.
The best thing about the veteran is his feisty nature as he never backs down from any challenge. In his recent podcast “The Draymond Green Show,” Green talked about one of his favourite players, Shaquille O’Neal. The Warriors veteran has always been clear about his preferences. He has always been a fan of the Big Aristotle. he even opened up on his childhood dream of guarding O’neal once in his lifetime to prove his haters wrong.
“If I had the opportunity to guard him, like, that’s everything for me. If I had the opportunity to play basketball on Shaq’s team, that’s everything for me. Everybody say, ‘Oh, man, if played back in the league, you wouldn’t be able to guard Shaq, you wouldn’t be able to guard Hakeem (Olajuwon),’ Shut up. I’m guarding Shaq. Bring on the big fella,” Green shared.
Coming back to the playoffs scenario for the Warriors, Curry’s men have wrapped up Game 5 o proceed to the next round of the playoffs. The Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets 102-98 to win the series 4-1 as they progress to the second round. Steph Curry and Nikola Jokic, both scored 30 points on the night as Steve Kerr’s men somehow edged it away from Denver. The Warriors will either face the Minnesota Timberwolves or the Memphis Grizzlies.
