Steph Curry is regarded as one of the best shooters to have ever embraced the game and the game of Basketball will be poor when he calls time on his glorious career. The Golden State Warriors star is 35 years old and he will look to be at his best when the new NBA season will kick off.
Curry admitted that thoughts of retirement do creep in his mind as he knows he is at the fag end of his career. The 35-year-old talisman wants to give his best in the next three seasons for the Dubs and will want to keep going strong.
In an interview with Today, Curry said, “The thoughts (of retirement) do creep in of what that timeline really looks like,” Curry said. “I know it almost puts into perspective how important these next two, three years are in terms of doubling down on the level that I want to be at and continue to play at, and pushing it to the limit as long as I can
“I just love the fact the timeline almost just gives me much more motivation for the now to take advantage of every opportunity that I have because, you know, the ball is going to stop bouncing at some point.”
On the other hand, Curry averaged 29.7 in the 2022-23 season for Golden State Warriors. He also averaged 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists in the previous season of the league.
Golden State Warriors’ campaign in the 2022-23 season ended after their 4-2 loss against Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals.
Meanwhile, Curry will have the company of veteran Chris Paul in the upcoming season for GSW. Curry will once again look to bring his best to the court and deliver for Steve Kerr’s team.
