Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry and forward Andre Iguodala are probable to make a comeback against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com arena. Curry has missed the Dubs’ previous 11 matches after suffering a lower left leg injury.
The talisman had suffered the injury on February 4 while playing against Dallas Mavericks. In fact, Curry had also missed out on action due to a shoulder injury earlier in the season.
GSW head coach Steve Kerr revealed Curry has been working hard on his recovery and he could return to action for the team versus the Lakers.
“He’s been working really hard,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said about Curry Thursday. “I think within days of the injury, he was on the bike. And it was impressive to watch him on the bike, how hard he goes. He’s really amazing when it comes to his conditioning level and his commitment to keeping it high. So he has a good chance these last few days to get up and down. But before that, he was doing a lot of 1-on-0 workouts that included a lot of running and movements.”
On the other hand, Andre Iguodala missed 39 matches due to a hip injury. He made his team’s debut on January 8 but only played three matches before he was ruled out with hip soreness.
Furthermore, Andrew Wiggins will continue to miss action due to personal reasons. Meanwhile, GSW currently has a 34-30 record in the ongoing season and they have won their last five matches.
However, the Lakers had beaten GSW by 124-111 before this winning streak. GSW will take on the Lakers on Sunday night.
