Sixers super fan and star comedian Kevin Hart feels that controversies are overshadowing the talent of Ben Simmons

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons has received a lot of criticism off late. He has been on the news every day since his off day against the Atlanta Hawks last season which saw the Sixers crash out of the playoffs. While most people know Simmons as a talent, lately he is mostly known for all the wrong reasons.

While fans have kept up trolling the Australian and making fun of him on social media, former players and analysts have also taken huge digs at the youngster. Simmons currently wants to move out of Philadelphia and he is doing everything in his power to push for a move out this season. That move again has brought a lot of criticism on the Aussie star.

Recently star comedian Kevin Hart who is a big NBA enthusiast has spoken in support of Ben Simmons. He does not agree with the media and fans’ perception and feels that the Aussie star is still an exceptional talent and any team will be very lucky to have him in their setup. He feels that his talent is getting overshadowed by all the controversies.

Hart is linked to the NBA for a long time, he is seen supporting the Sixers. He is easily one of the biggest Philadelphia 76ers fans and recently he was asked about his opinion on Ben Simmons and he came up with a reply like none other.

He said, “Ben Simmons is a f****** star… You got to let players play like they play. He got there by playing how he plays. Granted, this is a 3’s shooting time in the NBA, but that ain’t Ben! He is not that guy.” Kevin did not stop there but partially blamed the media for aggravating the situation.

“The media and how they, you know, position things, well…. somehow we forgot about all the good that he did. Wasn’t he an All-Star? Wasn’t he an All-Defensive Team? What are we talking about here?”, he stated

Hart highlighted how people are mad about results during playoffs that they go to any extent to criticise and mock players if they do not perform to their expectations. But Hart feels that Simmons is a future star and will only improve with every passing year.

While Shaquille O’Neal puts out a question on which team will take Ben Simmons after his controversy with Philly, Hart contradicts the NBA Champion as he feels that any team would love to have a talent like him. He said, “Whoever gets that goddamn f****** potential and that beast of a man, you’re going to see the bang for your buck… I am a Ben Simmons fan, regardless.”

It will be interesting to see where Simmons lands up but one thing is certain that Kevin Hart only wants the best for the Australian sensation.
