DeMar DeRozan and Keldon Johnson were ruthless on Tuesday night as San Antonio Spurs pummeled Houston Rockets in their seeding game.
In a 123-105 points victory for the Spurs, DeRozan scored 23 points while Keldon Johnson amassed 24 points for a combined 47 points from the duo.
This means that Spurs can still secure a spot in the Western Conference postseason play-in tournament as they have been on course with three straight victories as well as 5-2 in the bubble.
Meanwhile, for Houston Rockets, they have secured a place already in the postseason, albeit they can’t finish above fourth in the West Standing.
Since the restart, the Rockets in six of their games have won four games.
In other games, Brooklyn Nets got a comfortable 108 to 96 points victory over Orlando Magic as Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, and Jeremiah Martin both had 24 points each.
Meanwhile, the NBA on Tuesday revealed that it would hand out individual and team awards for the best performers in the restarted season in the bubble.
The winners will be announced on Saturday before Game 1 of the Western Conference play-in game.
Two teams will be given the All Seeding games team honor while one individual will win the Player of the seeding award.
Seeding games started on the 20th of July and will end on Friday the 14th of August.
This honor is entirely different from the 2019-20 NBA season awards finalists for Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth Man of the Year, and Coach of the Year, which was released.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo will be contending with Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James and Houston Rocket’s James Harden for the MVP award.
