The biggest question in the NBA have been Kevin Durant’s future and that has led to many questions on how Durant will turn up in the upcoming season. There are no questions over his talent but the unrest at Brooklyn Nets has created over his performances next season in case they fail to trade him to a different franchise.
However Warriors icon and multiple NBA Champion Andre Iguodala feels that Kevin Durant will be on a mission next season and he expects him to shine and be a statement to all other teams who have rejected a trade for him. While Durant is a fantastic talent and an elite scorer, probably the greatest ever, it is his physicality that hampers his growth. He has been injured in the last couple of years at important stages of the season and that has affected the Nets severely.
Despite all his injury concerns he is still an icon in the NBA and one of the best scorers ever to grace the game. He is a four time scoring champion and it is his scoring that has kept up his fight among the best players in the league. It is his ‘X’ factor and he is surely one of the greatest when it comes to it. So one can never count out Durant in any contest as he can come good for a short spell and take the game away from any team.
Recently in the ‘Point Forward’ podcast Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner discussed various topics related to the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant and a few things in between. There Iguodala acknowledged how KD can drop 50 points on any single night leaving the opponents in awe of his performance. . He also addressed how people criticize KD for his physicality but he believes that the man will be on a mission in this upcoming season as he has added some muscle.
“Everybody’s been saying that about KD, the physicality but for somehow he keep getting 40. You see KD this week? Everybody’s saying that you can physical KD out of the game. I saw KD this week, KD look like, I need to text KD, I’m like you put on some muscle? I think KD’s coming on with a mission next season,” Iguodala shared.
It is still unsure where Durant will end up for next season. There were rumours of him joining the Boston Celtics where he will be pairing up Jayson tatum but that has cooled down a little in the last few days and now the NBA fans wait to see another link with another team. But where he plays next season, the NBA fanatics will not complain about lack of entertainment.
