Nikola Jokic is mostly a quiet character and a man of few words. But that has changed drastically in the last few weeks after his fiasco with Markeiff Morris. The Nuggets center came up with a push from behind after Morris tried stealing the ball away from behind. Jokic’s reaction saw a lot of people commenting of the entire incident taking two sides.
We are lucky that the fiasco did not end up in a fistfight just like the one involving LeBron James Isaiah Stewart. But things have turned nasty since that incident. With Jokic Brothers getting involved and Marcus Morris and Udonis Haslem also joining in. Things may very soon go out of hand with Nemanja and Strahinja Jokic gaining a lot of attention. The duo were seen in several NBA matches and some people feel that they may start a brawl against the Heat especially against Markeiff Morris and Jimmy Buttler. Fans have also created unnecessary hype involving the Morris brothers versus the Jokic brothers. But Miami Heat chief coach Erik Spoelstra has poured cold water in all those rumours.
The Denver Nuggets recently completed their double over the in-form Miami Heat this season. Before the match, there were rumours of a brawl taking place. The whole thing started when Marcus came in to support his brother. Whereas the Jokic brothers threatened Marcus and told him to stay away from this. The incident also saw Jimmy Butler also exchanging a few words with the Serbian superstar.
As both sides locked horns, coach Erik Spoelstra felt that everything was in control during and after the game. He highlighted how NBA will take all the measures for the safety of everyone as they want to prevent from anything happening. “It’s in the rear view mirror,” he said. “I’m sure NBA security has sent the full team down here. Everybody is going to be on high alert, including the officials. Nothing is going to happen. This is about basketball and also both teams are managing injuries right now, “Spoelstra explained.
Despite Jokic’s great efforts this season, the Denver Nuggets have struggled big time. They are currently in the eighth position on the Western Conference and have a pretty average record of only 10-10 this season. They will next face the Orlando Magic and will look to win that game aswell.
