Los Angeles Clippers moved into the next round of the Western Conference playoffs after eliminating Dallas Mavericks.
After a 111-97 victory on Sunday in Orlando Florida, the Clippers will face the winners of the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz series.
With 33 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists Kawhi Leonard was the star man for Clippers while Paul George and Ivica Zubac had 15 points each.
Meanwhile, Marcus Morris Snr has stated that he didn’t intentionally hurt Dallas Mavericks’ player Doncic in Sunday’s win that ended the series 4-2 even though the referee’s call to eject him was justifiable.
“They had to make that call, I think. Honestly, we had a lot of back-and-forths this series. It was a hard-fought series. I just don’t want people to mistake playing basketball, playing hard with trying to hurt somebody. I think Tim Hardaway had an extremely hard foul with [Paul George] last game, and it wasn’t taken in [the same context].” Morris was quoted saying.
Marcus Morris was ejected for the foul where his arm hit the face of the Slovenian in the final minute of the first quarter.
The incident left Doncic furious as he was only held back by fellow teammate Boban Marjanovic.
Meanwhile, Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets will play a seventh series on Tuesday after Nuggets won 119 to 107 points to come back from a 3-1 in the series.
Jamal Murray was instrumental as he had 50 points in the game which makes it the second consecutive game that he will be hitting 50 points.
The NBA playoffs returned on Saturday after the players had boycotted the playoffs last Wednesday, the boycott was in protest of a black man, Jacob Blake who was shot in the back seven times by the police in Kenosha Wisconsin.
