Los Angeles Lakers rising star Austin Reaves has revealed LeBron James acts like he is 18 and not 38 in the training sessions. The 25-year-old said James always comes to the workplace in a happy mood and he has never seen him get frustrated.

James and Reaves have shared a close bonhomie since the youngster joined the Lakers back in 2021. Reaves will return to the Lakers’ lineup after signing a four-year, $56 million deal.

Reaves had played an instrumental role in taking the Lakers to the West finals in the previous season. The 25-year-old averaged 21.3 points on 54.9% shooting, including a staggering 56.0% from behind the arc in an ignominious sweep of 4-0 in the Western Conference final against the Denver Nuggets.

On the other hand, James has been brilliant for the Lakers, especially in getting the best out of young players like Reaves.

Austin Reaves told Matt Barnes and Steven Jackson on All the Smoke podcast, “He acts like a damn kid. He[LeBron James] acts like he’s 18. I never really see him in a bad mood. Always joking, laughing, having a good time.”

He added, “For someone you put on a pedestal, because he’s done what he’s done, for him to just be so personable. You can talk to him about anything, you could have a good conversation with him. You could joke around with him. The best thing about him is that he comes to work every day happy.”

Meanwhile, LeBron James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 55 games in the 2022-23 season. He was selected to play in his nineteenth All-Star games.

Both James and Reaves will hold the key for the Lakers in the next season along with Anthony Davis.
