“WOW THAT WAS SURREAL,” LeBron posted on X (formerly Twitter) after the game. He later expanded on the moment in a press conference, saying, “We came out of a timeout and we kind of stood next to each other. I kind of looked at him. It was like being in *The Matrix* or something. It just didn’t feel real. But it was great to have those moments.”
LeBron, entering his 22nd season in the NBA at age 39, showed his typical all-around brilliance, scoring 19 points while adding four assists and five rebounds. Bronny, meanwhile, finished scoreless in his 13 minutes on the court, but contributed two rebounds and recorded four turnovers as he adjusted to the pace of professional basketball.
Bronny joined the Lakers earlier this year as a second-round draft pick out of the University of Southern California, following in his father’s legendary footsteps. LeBron, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and a four-time NBA champion, has long expressed his dream of playing alongside his son.
