Lakers star Anthony Davis pays tribute to legend Kobe Bryant by sharing how his game impacted him

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant who was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame for his outstanding achievements in basketball has been a source of inspiration for several kids to take up the sport. Kobe was known for his extreme competitiveness and passion for basketball.

He caught the eye of several kids during his generation mainly with his exceptional shooting and his never die mentality. He always made things happen in clutch situations. He had achieved everything in the NBA and way beyond and therefore his life can be a source of inspiration for so many people even if they weren’t born in the era when he was donning the Lakers jersey and winning titles.

It has been 15 months since we lost the Black Mamba in a shocking helicopter crash. But his enshrinement to the Hall of Fame was a celebration of his life and all that he has achieved in that time.

Current Lakers star Anthony Davis spoke to reporters regarding Kobe revealing Mamba’s influence on the forward’s game. The 2020 NBA champion, Davis, spoke about the influential Kobe Bryant in an interview on Friday.

“Just for me, just being someone that was knowing him since I stepped foot in the league, all the way back to the USA team, seeing everything he did on the floor, off the floor kind of inspired me to follow that same path and have that same work ethic. And then just being here in a Laker uniform, it’s even more inspiring for me to try to continue the legacy that he built here.

And I think that goes for guys all around the league, just being able to realize the importance of his body of work on our game and for our generation. He’s the guy that everyone looked up to and wanted to be like,” said Davis.

It only proves how much of an impact the Mamba has had on the younger players. He is simply an All-time great sportsperson and now a Hall of Famer.

Coming to AD, the Brow has had a mixed bag season with the Lakers as he missed a large chunk of the season due to injury. Still, the power forward averages 22 points, eight boards and three assists this season. With the Lakers more or less set to feature in the play-ins tournament, both AD and LeBron James need to fire for the reigning champions.
