It was a great day for former NBA Champion turned analyst, Kendrick Perkins who got his parlay picks right. He has been very inconsistent with his parlay picks in recent times. This time he picked Joel Embiid, Karl Anthony Towns and Nikola Jokic and his picks were spot on as all the three big men stepped up their game.
Apart from his parlay picks, Perkins also spoke about Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, who had a big game against the Boston Celtics. Perkins have always had weird takes on Curry and the Warriors. Just last week following Draymond Green’s suspension, Perkins suggested that the Warriors’ front office should release Curry and set him free from the mess.
“Free him from all the BS that’s around him,” Perkins said. “Steph doesn’t deserve this. Steph is giving us great basketball. Steph has more great basketball to give us.”
His tone completely changed after the Warriors and Stephen Curry went big against the Boston Celtics. On Tuesday night, Perkins had nothing but praise for the sharpshooter, who was instrumental in their overtime victory over Celtics.
“I talk a lot shit about the Warriors. … but I respect Steph Curry so much as a damn competitor!” Perkins wrote. “Just an outstanding job on both ends of the floor … playing with 5 fouls and getting a big time tonight. By the way, his leadership was next level on both ends! Carry the hell on.”
The Warriors defeated the Celtics 132-126 in overtime in their latest NBA clash. This was one of their best games of the ongoing season. The Warriors are 11th in the Western Conference with an underwhelming record of 13-14. This win will give them confidence going forward. They have now won three consecutive games this season, gaining some steam.
The team has been engulfed in negativity with Draymond Green’s indefinite suspension. His absence has been a big blow for the team, considering his aura and importance to this unit. However, their retaliation has been superb winning matches against the Brooklyn Nets, Portland Trail Blazers and now against Boston Celtics.
Curry finished the match with 33 points against the Celtics while Klay Thompson also stepped up with 24 points. Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis delivered 17 and 10 points respectively on the big night.
