New Orleans Pelicans have completed a trade with four teams with multiple players involved. The pick of the trades includes that of Veteran Center Steven Adams, who will join the team.
The teams involved in the trades with New Orleans include Milwaukee, Denver, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The trades’ announcement was made on Tuesday, and the Pelicans revealed that they had acquired Steven Adams (via Oklahoma City) and Eric Bledsoe (via Milwaukee).
They have also brought in two future first-round draft picks from Milwaukee, and the right two swap two additional first-round picks with the Bucks.
The Pelicans let go of Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange and the draft rights to Sam Merrill, who was the 60th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Furthermore, the Denver Nuggets acquired the draft rights to R.J. Hampton, the 24th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft from Milwaukee.
Jrue Holiday joined New Orleans in 2013 and has 415 regular-season games under his belt in a Pelicans uniform, averaging 17.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.5 steals over the last seven seasons.
Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball operations David Griffin appraised Holiday’s effort with the team over the years.
“Jrue Holiday’s contributions to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region, both on and off the floor, serve as shining examples to everyone in our Pelicans family. They are a statement of what we want to represent and, frankly, what we have to live up to moving forward.” Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin said.
He is the fourth all-time appearances record holder in the Pelicans franchise history in tees of games played with 415 games and 13, 913 minutes as well as points with 7,312 points.
