It is so hard to compare eras – Steph Curry on GOAT debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan

It is always common practice to compare the two big players even if they played in different eras but Golden State Warriors talisman Steph Curry feels it is unfair to compare different eras and draw comparisons between LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Both James and Jordan are regarded as two of the best players to have ever graced the sport and comparing who is the best is common among NBA aficionados.

Jordan won a total of six championships in his glorious career with the Chicago Bulls. James, on the other hand, has thus far won four NBA rings in his illustrious career.

Jordan won the championships consecutively in 1991, 92, and 93 and then won it again in 96, 97, and 98 with the Chicago Bulls. Thus, he is regarded as one of the best players of all time.

On the other hand, LeBron James has had a long career and he will be playing his 21th season in the upcoming edition of the NBA for the Lakers. James won the championship in 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2020.

“I ascribe to the belief that there are multiple GOATs. It is so hard to compare eras. And getting into that conversation of, if you put Michael is this era and LeBron in that era, it’s kind of unfair,” Curry explained in an interview with Willie Geist on NBC’s Sunday TODAY show.

“It’s a great barbershop debate and something that will never stop until the end of time,” he finished.

Meanwhile, LeBron James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 55 games in 2022-23. He was selected to play in his nineteenth All-Star games.

On the other hand, Curry averaged 29.7 in the 2022-23 season for Golden State Warriors. He also averaged 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists in the previous season of the league.

Golden State Warriors’ campaign in the 2022-23 season came to an end after their 4-2 loss against Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals.
