LeBron James admitted he wasn’t aggressive enough in his turnovers after the LA Lakers suffered their fourth consecutive loss of the new season against the Denver Nuggets by 110-99. The Lakers haven’t been at their best and they will need to quickly turn the tables.
This is the first time James is 0-4 in a new season since his rookie edition. James scored 19 points and conceded eight turnovers and he admitted that he couldn’t bring his best to the court.
“I wasn’t aggressive enough in a lot of my turnovers,” James said after L.A.’s 110-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. “I was coming off a lot of screens, looking to pass, get guys involved, and I wasn’t aggressive enough.”
James is optimistic that he will be able to adjust his mistakes in the next match and come back stronger.
“That’s an easy fix for me,” James said. “I’ll be much better on Friday with that. I’ve done it over and over the course of my career. That’s an easy fix. I’m not worried about that.”
Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook missed the match due to a hamstring injury and James added that they need to be patient in dealing with the injuries.
“Russ, definitely dealing with a hamstring,” James said. “I played with [Dwyane] Wade. And I don’t know how, but you just have to be cool with all that. You can’t force it until that thing is ready to go. You’ve got to be very conscious of that.”
On the other hand, the team’s head coach Darvin Ham is disappointed with a 0-4 start but feels a lot of time is still remaining in the season and he is confident that his team will bounce back to winning ways.
“We’re four games in, it sucks to lose, but having 78 games left, there’s plenty of time for us to right the ship, and it starts now,” Ham said. “It starts yesterday.”
