Michael Jordan is regarded as one of the greatest players to have graced the game of Basketball. While the greats like Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar dazzled everyone with their moves before Jordan announced himself on the scene, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the latter revolutionized the sport.
Jordan had a different aura about himself as he was like a hungry lion on the court. The talisman always had a fighting spirit with himself and he demolished the opposition on his days.
The linchpin won six NBA titles with Chicago Bulls and the team was always a force to reckon with Jordan as the center of attraction. During his glorious career of 1072 matches, Jordan averaged a stunning 30.1 points per game.
NBA analyst Evan Turner picked Michael Jordan as the GOAT.
“So sometimes we leave out, we’ll do a number one and number two ranking, and we don’t show how high up number one might be. Because at the end of the day, when it comes down to it, I agree you said a lot of great factors, but then I go back to Michael Jeffery Jordan. I don’t care how competitive you are, I’m talking about how great he is,” former NBA player Evan Turner said while talking on the podcast “Point Forward,” with four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala.
On the other hand, Andre Iguodala, who won four NBA championships in his career, believes they don’t deserve to be on the court with a legendary player like Jordan.
He said on the same podcast, “I don’t think any of us are in his vicinity. There’s nothing wrong with being second to MJ. There’s nothing wrong with that. And I hate when we try to compare people to MJ and then its like it’s not even close. We really don’t deserve to be on the court with him, that’s my take.”
