Los Lakers talisman LeBron James is currently playing his 20th NBA season and he is still going strong. James recently broke legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s tally of 38387 points, which was the most in the history of the NBA.
James is still delivering the goods for the Lakers and he is averaging 29.5 points per game. George feels Dallas Mavericks linchpin Luka Doncic could leapfrog LeBron James’ most points record but not many players will be able to play at the top level as the Lakers’ veteran.
Doncic has impressed in his young career and he has shown the skills to break multiple NBA records. The Slovenian is averaging 33.4 ppg in the ongoing season.
Paul George said on Podcast P with Paul George, “What he’s doing is unbelievable with those stats. You look at what Luka [Dončić] is doing being the young version of LeBron in terms of passing, scoring and rebounding. From a numbers standpoint, Luka could probably catch Bron, but the longevity is what I don’t think people will get to.”
PG continued: “Twenty years of being dominant … I don’t think nobody will be cut that way to take care of your body, to be that on-point in the media, to be that on-point on the court. He’s superhuman!”
On the other hand, George also showered praise on Boston Celtics’ star Jayson Tatum.
“What Tatum is doing is impressive,” George said. “Went to the Finals last year. He could have very well been satisfied with that. He’s gotten better, and his game has gotten better and he’s confident with who he is as a player in this league now, and it’s showing. … he’s going crazy!”
Tatum had recently scored 55 points in the All-Star game against Team LeBron James.
